Alphabetical finds the answer to net hat-trick for Prescott after pre-race scare

It wasn't as easy as ABC for Alphabetical, neither before nor during the race, but the 2-7 favourite managed to complete a hat-trick in the 1m6f handicap.

The strapping Sir Mark Prescott-trained grey did not look entirely straightforward under a front-running ride by Luke Morris, although he did stay on well to fend off runner-up Tenfold.

"He's raced seven times but is still quite a raw horse, who likes to have a good look around, and hopefully he'll improve again when going up to two miles," said Morris.
