Allan misses Dixon winner after giving up rides due to failed breath test

David Allan forfeited his rides at the track after failing a breath test before racing and missed the winning mount on Medici Moon in the three-year-old mile handicap.

Thankfully, trainer Scott Dixon found that Paddy Pilley was available as a replacement at the last minute and the 5lb claimer did not see another horse on the gambled on 3-1 chance (from 6) when slamming favourite Quiet Moment.

The winner was sporting the famous Coastal Bluff colours of David and Dorothy Dennis, and it was a timely win for the latter as she was celebrating her 79th birthday.
