A wheelie great day for bin boss and pals as Duel collects

Owners buy dreams wrapped up in a racehorse. The dozen members of The Duel At Dawn Racing Partnership are living one.

Eyes are on the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival for the syndicate, whose number include a wheelie-bin cleaner and former racecourse doctor, after the horse they clubbed together to purchase, Duel At Dawn, won the £20,000 novice chase under Kielan Woods.

“That was one of the best feelings ever,” said Lyn Williams, 64, after getting his breath back from a mini-sprint and fist pump as the seven-year-old son of Presenting, a winner of two of his three starts over hurdles, saw off Flintham after the final fence.
