King George winner Highland Reel could be Aidan O'Brien's leading contender in next week's Juddmonte International after the trainer admitted to reservations about running US Army Ranger in the York Group 1 on his first start since the Derby.

US Army Ranger, at 4-1, is vying for second-favouritism behind Postponed and has been nibbled at in the betting this week, but punters are advised that 10-1 chance Highland Reel could fly the Ballydoyle flag.

US Army Ranger has not run since finishing second to Harzand at Epsom, having scoped unsatisfactorily before the Irish Derby, and O'Brien said yesterday: "US Army Ranger is in good shape after his break and has done very well, but we're just not sure it would be fair to him to go straight into a race like this.
