The Personal Protective Equipment company providing racing with essential products since the sport's resumption is giving back to the industry financially through the sponsorship of Ayr's meeting on Monday.

CHB Medical worked alongside the BHA to create the back to racing packs, including items such as face masks, gloves, coveralls and hand sanitiser.

One of the world's biggest suppliers of certified PPE, the Edinburgh-based firm now makes its first foray into racing sponsorship with the backing of all eight races at the Scottish track.

Ayr's managing director David Brown said: "We're delighted to welcome CHB Medical as our newest sponsor. It's very fitting one of the world's biggest suppliers of PPE and a company who has played an integral role in the return of racing since lockdown has chosen to support one of our summer race days.

"The company's products are seen on every racecourse and without them we simply couldn’t stage race meetings as we slowly work our way out of lockdown."

CHB Medical has forged strong links with racing as it also supplies racecourses, trainers and owners.

The firm's CEO Felicity Griffiths said: "We're very excited to be able to add further support to a sporting industry that we've enjoyed partaking in for many years. We're looking forward to being able to attend a race day at Ayr once it's safe to do so."
