William Haggas sends well-bred pair to Hamilton and there's a partnership to note at Carlisle - Tuesday's punting pointers

Carlisle: another Karl Burke special?
Karl Burke has a remarkable record in juvenile races this year. The multiple Group 1-winning trainer took his record to 41 winners from 120 runners for a 34 per cent strike-rate with Alparslan's impressive success at Leicester on Sunday.
He runs the debutante Elegant Jo Jo in the 7f fillies' novice (3.50). The filly fetched 205,000gns at the sales as a foal and is related to the winning stayer Scotland The Brave.
Burke also has a remarkable 50 per cent strike-rate at the track this season after saddling six winners from his 12 runners. Five of those were juveniles, with four winning, so there is plenty of positivity behind this daughter of New Bay.
She comes up against more experienced rivals on her debut, however, with the Charlie Johnston-trained Ice Sovereigns bidding to improve on two decent efforts at Newmarket and Goodwood.
Carlisle: Alex Jary on a Promise
Claimer Alex Jary has form figures of 23116 (40 per cent) when riding Promise Time, with the course-and-distance winner looking for a third win in the 6f handicap (2.45).
Hamilton: Golden days in Scotland
William Haggas will have just his sixth runner at the Scottish track this year when Golden Horse contests the 1m½f maiden (6.40). The son of Sea The Stars, who fetched 425,000gns as a yearling, was gelded before he made his debut at Pontefract in July.
Haggas, who also sends progressive Kingman colt Noble Horizon for the £26,000 Scottish Trophy (7.10), has won with two of his five runners at the track this season. The remaining three runners all finished second.
The main danger looks to be last month's Redcar runner-up They All Know Me, while Jim Goldie gives a debut to Spirit Of Nature, a gelded son of Pinatubo.
Goldie said: "He's not inspired us much at home, but he's got a good pedigree and we're hoping he'll turn into a nice horse."
Hamilton stat: Richard Fahey's Supreme bid
Richard Fahey has won three of the last seven (43 per cent) runnings of the 6f maiden (6.10) and bids for another victory with Supreme Clarets.
Lingfield: Beckett back for more with Princess
The 1m1f fillies' handicap (4.07) looks one of the standout races on the card and Ralph Beckett is back after winning it with Shemozzle last year.
That filly reached a ceiling of 87 and has since been switched to Stephen Thorne's Irish stable, and Beckett will hope Charming Princess can repeat the feat a year on. She is already rated much higher at this stage in her career, just 3lb lower than the 2024 winner's peak rating, after defying short odds at Pontefract last time.
More can be expected based on her pedigree as she is a Wootton Bassett half-sister to the top handicapper Northern Express, and she wasn't missed in the sales ring either, having fetched 300,000gns as a yearling.
Two other winners, La Ferveur and Silent City, make it a compelling contest. La Ferveur makes her debut for Richard Newland and Jamie Insole, having won a maiden in France on her final start for Andre Fabre.
Insole said: "We purchased her at the July Sale after she'd been running very consistently in France. She'd been running on soft ground but won on her last start on good, so we're looking forward to getting her on a quicker surface over here.
"We didn't think she'd have to carry top weight in a 0-95 but the race has cut up and she's been working well at home. She should have a nice chance."
