'We're 100 per cent delighted about taking on Ombudsman again' - O'Brien raring to go for Delacroix and Ombudsman's final showdown
David Jennings sets the scene for the conclusion of a bitter rivalry between two of the best colts in training

It feels like we are at the end of the second guitar solo in Bohemian Rhapsody, when the operatic part transitions abruptly into a heavy, hard rock section. When a good song becomes a great one. This could be the day a good Flat season becomes a great one. There's a huge key change coming.
Don't get me wrong, there have been some unforgettable moments over the course of the campaign: the day Field Of Gold got going too late in an argumentative 2,000 Guineas that had us at each other's throats for weeks afterwards; when Calandagan just could not get by Jan Brueghel in the Coronation Cup; another sweltering Royal Ascot; Richard Hughes' first Group 1 with a 66-1 shot; the farcical scenes as Qirat stole the Sussex; Big Mojo finding, well, his mojo again for Mick Appleby at Haydock; Asfoora's Indian summer; and the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown was pretty spectacular, wasn't it?
But, still, you get the impression that it has all been building up to this. A prolonged period of dry weather has ensured Ascot has good ground for British Champions Day. Hooray! And look what happens when you get good ground. You get good horses. Very good ones. Can you remember a better Flat card staged in Britain over the last decade? I can't, so let me know what you've come up with.
