Over to you, Colin. It's time to find out whether it was the pilot or the plane who was to blame for such a bumpy landing at Newmarket. 

The first big test for the "best available rider" approach from the Gosdens arrives in the first Irish Classic of the season. It's Colin Keane who has got the nod for Field Of Gold in the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas, a sting in the tail for Kieran Shoemark for being over-confident in the English equivalent. 

Much has been argued in the aftermath of that gut-wrenching Guineas defeat for John Gosden, a rapidly diminishing half-length which denied him a first victory in the Classic, but most of the debate has been about the jockey rather than the horse. The master of Clarehaven obviously felt he should have won, otherwise he wouldn't have gone knocking on Keane's door.
