Can anything stop easy winner Capital Guarantee following up Saturday's Thirsk romp?

Capital Guarantee will take some stopping if in anything like the form he produced on Saturday at Thirsk, where he shot clear just inside the final furlong in a mile handicap to win by two and a half lengths, his jockey Danny Tudhope taking long looks over his shoulders more than 100 yards from the line.
A 5lb penalty is negated by claimer Cian Horgan, who is only 3-42 in Britain so far, but rode 21 winners in Ireland, and might not need to be any more than a passenger on a horse due to rise from 75 to 85.
Capital Guarantee has not always been prolific, but he rattled off a hat-trick when joining David O'Meara as a three-year-old in 2023, going from 75 to 86 in the ratings, and he's now 2-3 this season after wind surgery, his mark having dropped all way back to 69 before winning at Catterick.
The only other last-time-out winner is Scott Dixon's Shaw Park, although he is 2lb badly in under his 5lb penalty, having been given just a 3lb rise for winning by a nose at Yarmouth last Thursday.
The inexperienced Taryn Langley replaces Kieran O'Neill to take 7lb off his back, and she did ride a winner, her sixth of 2025, for Dixon on the same day at Yarmouth.
He spends most of his time on artificial surfaces, but has just a 1-25 record in that sphere, and is 4-11 on turf with four seconds, with pretty much all his best form at Brighton until last week.
Other threats look thin on the ground. Although Giant nearly took advantage of his falling mark (11lb lower than last summer) at Kempton last time, he has no worthwhile form on turf, and several of the others have been badly out of form.

Going update
The going is good to firm, good in places with watering taking place to maintain conditions. The forecast on Thursday is dry with sunny spells and highs of 13C.
What they say
Mike Prince, racing manager to Middleham Park Racing, owners of Giorgio M
We experimented going up in trip with him at Chester last time, which didn’t really work, and also he wasn’t in love with the over-watered ground. Seven furlongs and a fast track like Yarmouth should play to his strengths and also he’s down in class.
Richard Spencer, trainer of Giant
He’s back on turf and fit from the all-weather but is perhaps a little high in the handicap just now.

Ed Dunlop, trainer of Lessay
It’s his first run on turf for us and he’s fit from running on the all-weather in winter, so would go there with an each-way chance.
Terry Kent, trainer of Mister Mojito
He’s a course-and-distance winner and has done us proud on the all-weather through the winter. He was trapped a bit wide and the race wasn’t run to suit him at Chelmsford last time, so you can put a line through that, and we think he goes there with a live chance.
