Cambridgeshire second favourite bids for hat-trick at Sandown and course specialist eyes fifth Beverley win
Punting pointers for Wednesday's meetings

Beverley: Can Pride storm to fifth course victory?
The Michael Dods-trained Emeralds Pride returns to the scene of her most recent success in the 5f handicap (4.53).
The six-year-old won over course and distance for the fourth time in July, and has since run well in defeat at Ascot and back here last month.
It means the mare runs off a career-high mark of 78, 6lb higher than for her most recent triumph. She does, at least, receive 4lb from dual race winner and top weight Elegant Erin, whose trainer Paul Midgley said: "She's an absolute sweetheart, I love her to bits. She has run all year without winning, which is quite frustrating."
Midgley also runs Tiriac, while Dods has a second hope in Brazilian Belle.
Kelso: Jardine’s Jentobello seeks first hurdles win
Iain Jardine will be hoping the application of cheekpieces can help Jentobello secure a first win over hurdles after two promising efforts.
The five-year-old began life under rules with two bumper victories, one of them at this track, before switching to hurdles, finishing third on his first crack at Uttoxeter and then second at Hexham last month.
Brian Hughes, on board for those four outings, keeps the ride as the pair go up slightly in trip for the 2m5f novices' hurdle (3.53).
Jardine said: “He's still quite keen and I thought he'd put the race to bed [at Hexham] but he got collared close home. He's progressing nicely and just needs a bit of confidence with his jumping."
Sandown: Sallaal to tune up for big test?
Cambridgeshire fancy Sallaal bids to complete a hat-trick in the Listed Sporting Times Sri Lanka Fortune Stakes (3.35) after successive wins at Hamilton.
The Roger Varian-trained son of Frankel was a winner at Yarmouth last October on his only run as a two-year-old.
He was pitched into Listed company in the Feilden Stakes at the Craven meeting on his return in the spring, but could manage only fifth behind Almeric.
He was not hard-pressed to justify odds-on favouritism under Ray Dawson – who is back on board – in calmer novice stakes waters at Hamilton a few weeks later, and followed up in a handicap there in July.
The colt is guaranteed a run in this month's bet365 Cambridgeshire, for which he is generally second favourite at around 9-1, and also has an entry in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Ascot's British Champions Day.
He faces five rivals in the £45,000 highlight of Sandown’s card, one of whom, Cicero’s Gift, holds the same future engagements.
Sandown stat: Jim Boyle
The trainer has had two winners of the 1m2f handicap (4.45) from two runners in the past three years and bids for a third with Jonnie.
Yarmouth: Will City prove slicker under Buick?
Salamanca City has had a fine campaign, for all that connections might be a little frustrated that her consistency has yielded just one win from seven starts, at Haydock in April.
The James Fanshawe-trained four-year-old has finished runner-up twice and been third four times on her other starts this season. She has been second on her two previous runs at Yarmouth and was beaten just a nose the last time she appeared at the track.
Perhaps the first-time booking of William Buick can spark a change of fortune in the 1m3½f fillies’ handicap (5.10), in which she carries joint-top weight of 10st 2lb.
Yarmouth stat: Mike Murphy
The trainer is 2-4 in three-year-old-plus handicaps at the track this season and runs Jesse Luc in the 6f handicap (2.25)
