John Dance, owner of retired six-time Group 1-winner Laurens, has questioned the reasoning behind Racecourse Media Group's strict stance on filming at its tracks.

Dance was moved to comment on the issue after Foxtrot Racing was threatened with the suspension of its Twitter account following a post that included a video taken by a syndicate member at Cheltenham this month.

Foxtrot manager Dan Abraham apologised for the tweet but called for a more common-sense approach to be taken, which Sam Hoskins, who runs Hot To Trot Racing and Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds, agreed with.
