As High Say romped to victory on her chase debut to land complete a quickfire hat-trick and continue Fergal O’Brien and Paddy Brennan's fantastic form this season.

The six-year-old registered a comfortable seven and a half length victory and made it a remarkable three wins on the bounce since joining O’Brien’s yard from Ireland in April.

O’Brien said: "She tends to race quite freely, but Paddy gets along well with her and she’s been a true servant for us. Her owner was new to the yard and she’s given him great fun.

"It was only nine days since her last run so she needs a break now, but I’m looking forward to when she’s back."

She continued O’Brien’s impressive run of form as the yard picked up their 18th winner of the season, coming off the back of a career-best 104 winners last campaign.

"People always get a pep in their step when there’s winners and the horses running so well," O’Brien added. "Momentum is a huge thing and it’s great to get a good start, hopefully we can keep it going right through the season."

First for Fox

Amateur jockey Ned Fox celebrated a day to remember as he claimed his first career win under rules on the Ryan Potter-trained First Du Charmil in the 2m7½f handicap hurdle.

Born in Limerick, it was a first success at the 16th attempt for Fox in his third season racing.

Fox almost claimed the milestone in his previous ride at Ffos Las four days earlier, losing out by a head on another Potter-trained runner, Pickamix.
