Tim Easterby stole the show exactly a month on from Winter Power's memorable Nunthorpe success with a 56-1 hat-trick.

Hildenley and Mac Ailey took the two divisions of the 1m½f handicap before David Allan rode his third winner of the afternoon when
Under Fox rallied late to take the 0-75 handicap, also over the same trip.

The trainer could have had more too but 3-1 favourite Multellie disappointed in the 1m4f veterans' handicap, while course specialist Temper Trap was held off in a tight finish to the 1m1f apprentice handicap.

Monday's results leave Easterby just four winners off beating his best tally of 126, achieved in 2019.

Easterby's son and assistant William said: "It's fantastic, a great result. It's great work from everyone at home. We took them up there as we thought they had nice chances and the races looked right for them. I suppose we were unlucky not to get a fourth.

"Under Fox is a nice horse, he could be one to progress. Hildenley has taken a long time to learn his job but he might be one to keep an eye on. We might take him hurdling as he appreciates soft ground.

"Everyone loves Mac Ailey, he's a bit of a dude and a yard favourite so it's great to see him win."

Koeman scores

Koeman was rated 17lb lower than his last winning mark and he roared back to form in the veterans' handicap with a dazzling display. The seven-year-old pulled away from Daawy to win by five and a half lengths for Mick Channon.
