Bryony Frost continued her electrifying run of form by riding her seventh winner of the month on Regarding Ruth, her only mount of the day.

After she made easy work of the 2m7f handicap hurdle, Regarding Ruth's trainer Lucy Wadham said: "Bryony has really clicked with her and has won on her three times now – it's absolutely fantastic.

"The mare is not very big but she grows over hurdles. It's partly the Bryony factor and it's great to see. We couldn't believe our eyes when she hacked up at Newbury and she's done the same thing again!

"She's an absolute sweetheart at home, you could bring her into the house. She's very kind and will do anything – she's like the family pet."

Connections will seek a Listed race for the mare in the autumn, who out of the hands of Frost has won just one other race from 18 starts.

Frost's recent successes included a treble at Kempton on Monday, and four victories for trainer Paul Nicholls.

Victory for Hurricane

It took 23 starts for Hurricane Vic to get his head in front, but patience was rewarded when he landed the 2m5½f handicap chase for the Armson family.

The 11-year-old was pushed to the line by conditional jockey Philip Armson and is owned and trained by his father, Richard.

The success was years in the making for Armson jnr, who pointed with Hurricane Vic and has partnered the horse in every rules race since 2018.
