When I see one that's got kicked at the start, or runs loose for a while, or gets very edgy in the stalls, I can't press the lay button quick enough. I've been doing that for most of my punting life and can't remember one occasion where I've had to pay out. If I've backed one myself and something happens to it at the start or in the stalls, I'm sitting there praying they're withdrawn, or else I just lay off my stake. They never win.
