How serious a contender for the Arc might Nassau winner Winter be?

John Gallagher, trainer Winter is a very serious contender for the Arc as she has done nothing wrong. Ground and trip will not be a problem either as she has won on all types of going and, being by Galileo, the step up in trip will not worry her.

There is a question mark regarding the trip given her dam was a sprinter, but Aidan O’Brien doesn’t have many other obvious Arc contenders and hopefully ‘the lads’ will be tempted to have a crack.

Phillip Makin, jockey I think Enable, Almanzor and Brametot have much stronger claims. Going up to a mile and a half is another big step up for Winter as well.
