The Bushes that lie just after the two-furlong pole on the Rowley Mile are arguably the most famous in the world and have provided a launchpad for many a Classic winner over the years. They are also a good marker for workers on the neighbouring watered gallop, and Simcock used them as a winning post for his 1,000 Guineas fourth, who looked in top shape under Jamie Spencer and heads for a Listed race at Haydock on Saturday.
