Dermot Weld has sent out odds-on winners of this event for two of the last three years courtesy of Tested (2014) and Shamreen (2016) and Dabulena will not be a big price to notch a third success for the Master of Rosewell House.

Dabulena has been favourite or joint-favourite for all three of her starts. She started her career on heavy ground at Cork on the second day of April when runner-up to Angel Island and filled the same position at Tipperary later that month when no match for Cheshire Oaks runner-up Alluringly.

But the daughter of Siyouni made it third time lucky at the Curragh nine days ago when comfortably landing a 1m2f maiden and Weld expects there is improvement to continue.

Weld said: "She's a very consistent filly who put up a good performance to win at the Curragh. She's improving with every run and I expect her to put up another good performance here. She seems in good form."

Another consistent filly is Elusive Beauty who has either won or been placed on her last three outings. Her most recent run was a successful one at this venue but that was over 7f and trainer Ken Condon is taking a step into the unknown with regards to the trip.

Condon said: "She's stretching out in trip and has never been over this far before. She's fresh and well and the reason we've decided to go for this race is because it is giving a very mild and dry week and I suspect the ground will have dried out by the Curragh at the weekend. She does like a bit of cut.

"She's a very relaxed filly so I would be hopeful that she'll get the trip."

Aidan O'Brien is represented by Elizabeth Browning, who was a shade disappointing when last of six in the Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial, but is still joint-top rated with a mark of 93.

O'Brien said: "She's in good form and was a little bit unlucky at Leopardstown when she got snatched up. We've been a bit disappointed by her but hopefully she will recapture some of her old form."

Ceol Na Nog also has an official rating of 93 and the Jim Bolger-trained filly rattled off three wins on the bounce between May and June last season so perhaps this is the time of year when she comes into bloom.

The quintet is completed by the once-raced Sally Gap from the Tom McCourt stable.
