Unbeaten Airlie Beach out to provide Mullins with hat-trick

The Willie Mullins-trained Airlie Beach is set to go off a warm favourite with the six-year-old mare, who has impressed with her jumping in four starts over hurdles, out to maintain her unbeaten record.

Mullins won this race two years ago with Morning Run and last year sent out Listen Dear to victory - and appears to have strong claims of landing the hat-trick.

Gordon Elliott's Shattered Love looks to have a big future, albeit that may lie over fences, and the Roger McGrath-trained Miss Eyecatcher makes her hurdles debut after winning three bumpers on the bounce.

She's continued to improve and I don’t think we could ever have expected her to still be unbeaten at this stage in her career. Having said that, she seems to be taking her racing well. She jumps well and will like the ground. We won this race 12 months ago with Listen Dear, our ‘pocket rocket,’ and are very hopeful Airlie Beach can go close this year.

If she runs her usual good race she might be up to sneaking third. We're going there, like most, hopeful of a bit of black type. We're chancing our arm but she's in good form.

We're trying to get black type as she's going to be kept as a broodmare. She won at Clonmel last time and hopefully can run well again.

She won her maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time but unfortunately got disqualified. She’s in good form and we'd like to get some black type.

Roger McGrath, trainer of Miss Eyecatcher
We didn’t get to give her a run in a maiden hurdle before this but she has experience in point-to-points and her schooling has been good. She's won on heavy as well as quick ground so the surface shouldn't inconvenience her. She's won three bumpers now and is an exciting horse. If she were placed we'd be thrilled.

She seems to have been in good form since Clonmel, and although we're coming back a bit quicker than ideal we think she can run very well. It would be great to get some black type.

She's a fine big mare but taking on a pretty fast one [Airlie Beach]. Everything she does this season is a stepping stone for fences and I think she could be quite good in that sphere; she's related to Irish Cavalier. She ran well at Tipperary on her first start this season and should improve for that, but it’s all about next season.
