An unusual day for Tony Martin with runners in Group 1 races at two European venues as the trainer, better known for his achievements with jumpers, seeks a first top-level success on the Flat.

Laganore, winner of the Listed Pride Stakes at Newmarket on her most recent start, is in Rome for the Premio Lydia Tesio at Capannelle (4.05) while the versatile Quick Jack lines up for the Prix Royal-Oak at Saint-Cloud (3.25).

Martin will be in Rome for five-time winner Laganore's bid for glory under Jim Crowley, who rode her to a four length win at Newmarket 16 days ago, while Fran Berry partners Quick Jack in France.
