Trainer Noel Meade and broadcaster Jane Mangan with their views on a big weekend
Keith Melrose, Graeme Rodway and Stuart Jones also give their thoughts
What’s your view on an intriguing Irish Champion Hurdle?
Stuart Jones, Sky Bet I can’t wait to see how this pans out. I have my reservations about Honeysuckle being seen to best effect under these conditions, and would have given the nod to Klassical Dream. However, his likely absence means I give a tentative selection for the mare to score again.
Jane Mangan, broadcaster It’s absolutely fascinating. I’m delighted to see Honeysuckle taking her chance but I think she’ll need to step up to beat Sharjah, so it’s Sharjah for me.
Noel Meade, trainer Honeysuckle has been unbeatable so far but she faces a completely different ball game in the Irish Champion Hurdle. She may well prove to be just as effective, though, and I’ll go with her to carry on improving.
