Tonight's racing: three to watch from Chelmsford
If you've been waiting for your all-weather fix after an afternoon of jumps action, then an eight-race card at Chelmsford should keep you sated. Here are three runners to keep an eye on.
The Derek Shaw-trained veteran was back in form last time out when running away by four lengths in a claimer over course and distance.
He returns to handicap company, so more will be required, but that is not impossible as the eight-year-old did win here in April off a mark of 80, and he competes off 78 tonight.
This filly is unbeaten on the all-weather having won her first two starts at Kempton, and she then acquitted herself well in Pattern company during the summer.
She returns to an artificial surface, and trainer Ralph Beckett has done well with his three-year-olds at the track this year, with two wins from seven runners, a 29 per cent strike-rate.
Should Victoriously win, it would be a very spaced out hat-trick, as the five-year-old's first win came back in November at Wolverhampton.
He then made a successful return at Lingfield in April, and returns off another absence in this 1m2f handicap.
