Tonight's racing: three interesting runners under the lights at Chelmsford
There's an eight-race card to get stuck into at Chelmsford this evening, and here are three runners it could be worth noting.
A step up in trip could be the key for this filly as she makes her all-weather debut.
The daughter of Cape Cross was hampered early on at Nottingham but still performed well to finish fifth over 1m½f, and shaped as though stepping up to 1m2f will be a benefit.
Although this filly is 11lb higher than her last win, which was achieved last November, she has held her form well, and might be able to score again.
She is very consistent on the all-weather, having only finished out of the first four once from her previous seven starts, including two wins. She should be involved at the finish.
There are three last-time out winners in the field for this race, and of the trio, Toshima makes the most appeal.
A winner at Newcastle, the three-year-old was only pushed out to score in what was probably a decent race, Trainer Ed Walker is in fine form, having enjoyed a winner every day this week.
