Tonight's action: three horses to look out for on the all-weather
All-weather fans are in for a treat this evening with meetings at Newcastle (first race 4.00), Chelmsford (5.20) and Dundalk (5.30). Here are three horses to look out for . . .
Tukhoom
5.40 Newcastle
Tukhoom was a luckless third at Newmarket four days ago and boasts strong claims in the 7f handicap at Newcastle.
Michael Herrington’s handicapper was denied a clear run on several occasions on the Rowley Mile last week but ran on late to finish third.
A decent third at Newcastle last month, he can gain quick compensation now reverting to the all-weather.
Footsteps Forever
7.50 Chelmsford
Mark Johnston’s three-year-old stepped up from her return to action in September when second to the in-form Keswick at Wolverhampton last month.
The Footstepsinthesand filly should be suited by the step up to 1m2f and arrives fresh after a light campaign compared to the majority of her rivals.
She has solid claims in an open contest with Franny Norton retaining the ride.
Dharma Rain
9.00 Dundalk
Henry de Bromhead’s Dharma Rain makes her all-weather debut in the finale at Dundalk and appeals as a type who is open to improvement.
The three-year-old filly was a promising second at Listowel in September and dropping back to 1m2½f could well be in her favour tonight.
Recent winner Aunty Audrey has to defy a 7lb rise but appears the main danger.
