Three horses to look out for over the jumps this evening
The evening in Britain ends over jumps at Chepstow and Towcester and here are three horses to look out for after Sandown has signed off on the Flat today.
Hollywood Ken (5.20 Chepstow)
Interesting for being the one ride on the card for Bryony Frost ahead of another big day at Sandown on Saturday. On Thursday she dashed from Warwick to Kempton for one ride at each track and won on both of them.
Frost has grabbed her chances after turning conditional after her Cheltenham Foxhunters win last season and is looking for her 38th winner of the season.
Riddlestown(7.20 Towcester)
This 11-year-old is well named for today as punters have to solve something of a riddle in that he loves this track with four of his 13 career wins there (seven others at Southwell suggesting he has his preferences). So with just four rivals left what will stop his adding to his course record.
The riddle is that the ground has changed to soft after heavy rain and his last two visits to the winner's enclosure came on good to firm. However he has won on soft at Southwell and Huntingdon.
Miss Heritage (7.55 Towcester)
David Elsworth has mostly stuck to the Flat since moving to Newmarket but the trainer of Desert Orchid sends a first runner to this Northamptonshire jump track in over five years in Miss Heritage, who tries to defy a winner's penalty in the bumper that ends the card.
Dave Bellingham, who analysed her Taunton race, wrote: "She moved smoothly into the race turning for home and had little difficulty in quickening away once given her head. She has more of a Flat pedigree, being a 34,000euros half-sister to a 7f-1m winner out of an unraced half-sister to Musidora/Nassau winner Zahrat Dubai, so it will be interesting to see how she is campaigned.
"Wherever she goes, she looks an interesting prospect."
