This should be the easiest puzzle of the entire week to solve. Energumene is the majestic Champion Chase winner, the new star of the 2m chasing division who lit up a dark, dank and dreary Wednesday at the Cheltenham Festival with an explosive performance in the feature race. Yet, somehow, this particular puzzle is not straightforward at all. Far from it, in fact.
The reason for that is Chacun Pour Soi. Officially the best horse in the race who is, unofficially, running at his favourite track. These are his terms and conditions, not Energumene's.
