• OLD FAVOURITE: Former top staying chaser Don Poli is on course to bid for a third Cheltenham Festival success after securing his place in the Foxhunter with victory at Alnwick point-to-point on Saturday.

• CHANGE OF PLAN: A frustrated Gary Moore will have to rethink plans for leading JCB Triumph Hurdle hope Goshen after the BHA decided against restaging the Chatteris Fen Juvenile Hurdle following the cancellation of Huntingdon's fixture on Friday.

• SILVINIACO CONTI CHASE: The race newly named after one Paul Nicholls-trained great was fittingly won by another with Frodon making all to hold off outsider Keeper Hill under an inspired ride from Bryony Frost.

• CLASSIC CHASE: Kimberlite Candy, second in the Becher Chase over the Grand National fences at Aintree last month, went one better at Warwick when he outstayed his rivals to win the Classic Chase and enhance his chances for the big one in April for owner JP McManus.
