'She looked a Group horse in the making' - Jim Crowley joins our expert panel

Adele Mulrennan and Graeme Rodway also answer the key questions

It's Eclipse day at Sandown. Who do you like in the big one?

Phill Anderson, tipster Vadeni has been impressive at Chantilly this year but this is tougher than the French Derby he won last time. I prefer the claims of Native Trail (3.35) who is unlucky not to arrive unbeaten. He looked a bit workmanlike at the Curragh but he’s been freshened up since and has been shaping like he will relish this longer trip all season.

Jim Crowley, jockey It looks an exceptional race and you can make a case for all of them but with the 10lb allowance the top class three-year-olds always come to the fore. Bay Bridge may well go forward from his low draw and make it a proper test and Native Trail is interesting up in trip but Vadeni was very impressive in the French Derby and looks the one to beat.

Jamie McBride, William Hill I would be inclined to give Bay Bridge another chance at the top level. State Of Rest got first run on him at Ascot and his Brigadier Gerard win is arguably the best piece of form on offer from this season. Native Trail is one to oppose in my opinion, his progression has seemingly levelled off.
