Sea Of Class given all clear to run in Prince of Wales's Stakes
Sea Of Class has been given the go-ahead to contest the Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
The four-year-old had been an uncertain starter in the highlight of day two, with trainer William Haggas wanting to walk the course after heavy rainfall on Tuesday turned the ground to good to soft, soft in places on the round course.
Further heavy rain fell before the start of racing on Wednesday, leading to Haggas having prolonged conversations with jockey James Doyle at Ascot and owner Ling Tsui on the phone.
After finishing his lengthy call, Haggas said: "Yes, she runs."
Sea Of Class has not run since finishing an agonising second to Enable in last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp, having missed a possible comeback at York last month.
Sea Of Class is the 4-1 second favourite behind Magical for the Prince of Wales's.
