Sara Ender dreaming of landing Racing Post prize with bargain buy Demi Sang

Whether you are in your second season with a full licence or you are a six-time champion, the Racing Post Go North series is well worth aiming for.
Sara Ender, 33, trains a dozen Flat and jumps horses at Malton and hopes to announce herself to the wider world by winning the Schloss Roxburghe Go North Cab On Target Handicap Hurdle, one of two races at Kelso to be shown live on ITV.
She is excited about bidding for the £30,000 contest with Demi Sang, a £6,000 buy last December who has won handicaps at Wetherby and Sedgefield this season.
"I've only ever had one runner in a Class 2 race before and that didn't have much of a chance," Ender said. "If he won, Demi Sang would be much my biggest winner and I do think that is a realistic hope.
"His last run when he finished fifth at Sedgefield was his third in 20-odd days, he had to run to qualify but we've freshened him up since then and he's well. The drying ground will help and I'm quite hopeful."
Brian Hughes's mount Son Of The Somme could be the one to beat, having one win and three close second places to show from four runs for Brian Ellison this season.
Nicky Henderson, who had more runners at the Cheltenham Festival alone than Ender has in her whole string, could boost his hopes of a seventh title by taking the £50,000 Herring Queen Series Final Mares' Novices' Handicap Hurdle (3.15).
His topweight Theatre Glory, who will be partnered by conditional jockey Nathan Brennan, has won three of her four starts, including novice hurdles at Huntingdon and Warwick.
Henderson said: "It's a big prize, we've had it in mind for some time. She's done very little wrong, although she's got quite a lot of weight which is why we're claiming off her."
Milton Harris won with Aliomaana at Perth last autumn and hopes the mare will make another trip from Wiltshire to Scotland worthwhile.
"I just hope they haven't watered too much," the trainer said. "The faster the ground the better for her. She's by Raven's Pass and she struggles to jump out of bad ground.
"It's a lot of money and she has a definite chance. She goes there in very good form. She had a midseason break and came back and won well at Wincanton. I'd expect her to run very well."
Alan King hopes that drying ground conditions will suit Haseefah. He said: "She's been rather stuck in the mud since she won well on her hurdling debut at Market Rasen. She's just ready to start back after a mid-season break and she probably has a bit of improvement to come."
King also gives Potterman a prep run for the bet365 Gold Cup, which he was awarded in the stewards' room last year, in the £35,000 Paxtons For Kverneland In The Borders Handicap Chase. He is up against last month's course winner Empire Steel and Big River, who is bidding for his ninth victory at Kelso.
