This King Power-owned filly has won three of her last five races and placed in the other two. The four-year-old made a nice return when second on quick ground at Bath last month to a rival now rated 96, and should appreciate the return to six furlongs under Oisin Murphy. She could continue her progress for Andrew Balding.

A daughter of Golden Horn, Festive Star put in a battling performance to score at Newbury last time and looks likely to be in contention once again. The three-year-old was a Listed winner by five lengths at San Siro last year and represents the in-form Simon and Ed Crisford yard, who boast a 29 per cent strike-rate over the past fortnight.

It is always worth taking notice when Jim Crowley rides for Saeed bin Suroor – the pair have a 25 per cent strike-rate in the past five years when teaming up – and they do so with Jalaad. The five-year-old won handily at York last time in first-time cheekpieces, and that aid could work its magic again.

BetVictor Rose Of Lancaster Stakes (Group 3), 1m2f

This five-year-old has really taken his form to the next level this season, scoring nicely in the Steventon Stakes last time and he bids to follow that up underneath Frankie Dettori. Global Giant has previously hit the crossbar twice in Group 3 contests but the John Gosden-trained son of Shamardal is likely to take all the beating this time.

Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Handicap, 2m

Australis was a staying-on second in the Northumberland Plate last month and bids to go one better this time for Roger Varian. The four-year-old has put in two career-best efforts this season and looks to be going the right way, and could appreciate the return to turf under David Egan.

Betway Sweet Solera Stakes (Group 3), 7f

Richard Hannon's two-year-olds have been in great form this season and he looks to have another fine prospect in Fly Miss Helen. The daughter of Le Havre was an impressive scorer on debut, winning by two and a quarter lengths, and kept on well at the finish over 6f, suggesting an extra furlong would be no issue.

Thames Hospice Handicap, 1m4f

After failing to feature on his first two starts of the season, the addition of blinkers saw Jeremiah win last time by the narrowest of margins, and he now bids to double up over course and distance under Jim Crowley. Still lightly raced for a five-year-old, Jeremiah could yet be unexposed off a mark of 99 with trainer Charlie Fellowes' stable in great form.
