Newmarket – ITV Racing Tips
Racing Post expert Matt Boyle picks his best bets for the day at the Newmarket July Festival in a bid to help you find more winners.
Dandalla produced a blistering performance to land the Group 3 Albany Stakes at the Royal Ascot meeting last time. She looks a filly of real class and can maintain her unbeaten record. Karl Burke is one of the shrewdest operators around and, while his yard has been a touch quiet in recent weeks one can be sure that Dandalla will be spot on.
John Gosden last won this Group 1 contest in 2013 with the brilliant Elusive Kate. The champion trainer has a sound chance of landing the prize again with the exciting Terebellum. The improving filly nearly gave Godolphin and Frankie Dettori a storybook winner at Royal Ascot when just denied by Circus Maximus over 1m in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, a performance that gives the filly a strong chance here.

Friday ITV7 Competition Tips

The Racing Post experts make their selections for the competition.
Race 1 - 14:05 Market Rasen
The suggestion is Highly Prized, who created a good impression when winning on his handicap debut in November and ran considerably better than his finishing position suggests in the red-hot Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February.
Race 2 - 14:25 Newmarket
Dandalla, who cruised home by 6l in the Albany, holds strong claims but the same can be said of Time Scale, who has recorded two impressive wins since stepped up to this trip.
Race 3 - 14:40 Market Rasen
Imperial Presence is nothing like as bad a jumper as his form figures may imply and he's on a competitive mark if producing his 'A' game after a break (record fresh bodes well).
Race 4 - 15:00 Newmarket
Mark Johnston's Themaxwecan was unlucky not to finish a little closer at Royal Ascot and could prove the answer to this very competitive race.
Race 5 - 15:15 Market Rasen
Preference is for handicap debutant Hasankey, who had flashes of fair form on the Flat and he took well to hurdling last season.
Race 6 - 15:35 Newmarket
The strong pace should suit Enemy who came from a long way back when fourth in the Britannia at Ascot and that run, as well as his eyecatching pedigree, suggests that the best is yet to come from him over this new trip.
Race 7 - 16:10 Newmarket
Terebellum is the one to beat. John Gosden's filly put up a mighty effort in the Queen Anne at Ascot on her first attempt at 1m and is hard to oppose against her own sex.
