Ladbrokes St Leger clues could be on offer on an intriguing undercard, where Hughie Morrison saddles Marmelo in the Listed Prix Michel Houyvet (1.35) over 1m7f.

The Duke Of Marmalade colt broke his maiden in spectacular style when coasting home ten lengths clear at Doncaster last month.

"It is a huge upgrade in class but when you are rated 92 there are limited options," said Morrison. "He has the St Leger entry and we will find out whether that is aiming too high. He is a lovely horse who can only get better with age. He could have done with a bit of rain but it has been well watered."
