Kid steps back into the limelight four days after Wexford win
Suir Valley Chase | 2m4f | 5yo+ | ATR
The Paparrazi Kid returned from the wilderness to grind out a victory at Wexford on Friday and is back out again quickly for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh.
A classy horse in his pomp, the ten-year-old had not previously scored since leading home a Mullins-trained 1-2-3 in a Grade 2 novice chase at Limerick in 2013.
Also making a quick turnaround is My Murphy, who was unplaced behind The Paparrazi Kid on Friday while Mozoltov is out again after a below par effort at Navan on Sunday in a stronger race.
Andrew McNamara's Val De Ferbet returns to chasing while Adrian Maguire's Knockraha Pylon completes the five-strong field.
Fancy the favourite?
Favourites have a good recent record in this with three of the last four obliging.
What they say
Mouse Morris, trainer of Mozoltov
He ran well up until a point at Navan on Sunday and I'm hoping he finishes in the money.
Liam Burke, trainer of My Murphy
I'm afraid he's just totally out of love with the game at the minute but Richard Harding won on him during his point-to-point days and hopefully he can get a tune out of him. His homework has been good but he hasn’t run well since winning the Thyestes last year. I may run him over banks yet, but I'd say we could be calling time on his career if he doesn’t run well in this.
Willie Mullins, trainer of The Paparrazi Kid
It's hard to find suitable races for him but this seems to be one. Whether it comes too soon after his win at Wexford, we'll have to wait and see.
Andrew McNamara, trainer of Val De Ferbet
He's been running consistently well for us and he's as well as we've ever had him. He's probably not the best jumper of fences in the world but this race looked like a good opportunity and we're very happy with him. He ran twice within a few days last month but we've freshened him up since and he seems very well. I was a little bit disappointed to see The Paparrazi Kid declared after winning the other day and I'd rate him the main danger.
Adrian Maguire, trainer of Knockraha Pylon
On ratings she may have a job to get involved but she's in great form and she has her chance.
