Key questions and quotes as hot two-year-olds clash in the Horris Hill

Cancom Stakes (registered as the Horris Hill Stakes) (Group 3) | 7f | 2yo | ITV4/RTV
Can Kinross follow up strong debut?
Ralph Beckett has been firing on all cylinders with his juveniles this season and the Kimpton trainer looks to have another hot prospect in Kinross.
The son of Kingman bolted up by eight lengths on his debut at Newmarket last month, and Beckett noted the Horris Hill has been circled in the calendar since that exciting success.
He said: "What Kinross did at Newmarket was there for all to see. He’s trained well since and I’m very happy with the condition he’s in. This was the race we had in mind immediately after his debut and I’m glad he’s taking his chance."
While the forecast rain and heavy ground is likely to add an interesting twist to the day’s racing across Britain and Ireland, Beckett is confident it will suit the two-year-old.
He added: "Kinross's mother positively thrived on soft ground – it was her favourite surface – and Kingman won two Group 1s on it, so I would think he would handle it."
Will Kenzai Warrior strike again for Teal?
Roger Teal will hope Kenzai Warrior can dispatch another highly-rated Beckett horse in Kinross, having beaten Max Vega by a neck on debut at Salisbury last month.
That success has been boosted after Max Vega won by six lengths on his next start before landing the Group 3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket two weeks ago. Now it is over to Kenzai Warrior to properly frank that rousing debut.
"It looks a strong field but Max Vega has seriously boosted our form, so that was nice to see," said Teal. "The ground is a bit of an unknown but he has an action that looks like he might appreciate cut. We’re happy with the way he’s come forward from his Salisbury run, so we’ll go there tomorrow and see what happens."
Can Surf Dancer make it three in a row?
Surf Dancer has shown plenty of progression since finishing fifth to Mums Tipple, and goes for the hat-trick having twice won at odds-on.
The colt held off the challenge of Light Angel last time in a conditions race at Chelmsford despite running green, and William Haggas is optimistic his two-year-old can handle the testing turf.
He said: "I’m hopeful Surf Dancer enjoy the ground but I don’t see why he wouldn’t because Lope De Vega’s tend to like it. But if Kinross turns up like he did at Newmarket he’ll be hard to beat."
What they say
Aidan O'Brien, trainer of New World Tapestry and Year Of The Tiger
New World Tapestry won well at Newmarket the last day and he’s in great form. Year Of The Tiger had a mid-season break and he seems to be progressing all the time. We’re happy with how he’s come out of the Dewhurst.
George Margarson, trainer of Ropey Guest
He’ll run his usual solid race and he’s in really good form. We know he gets home over a mile, so if it is a slog it should be fine for him. He just gets caught short when they quicken up but he then stays on. He’s a horse with natural talent and I think he’ll be a better horse next year. We’ve missed the Vertem Futurity for it,so we’d better win!
