Key information for today's meetings including the return of a familiar face
You cannot keep a good man down and ten months after a knee injury put Andrew Thornton on the sidelines, the popular rider returns to action at Worcester today.
Thornton, 44, has been off since reaching the notable landmark of 1,000 winners aboard Kentford Myth at Wincanton on Boxing Day and, fate would have it, he returns on the same horse in the 2m4f mares' handicap hurdle ().
As well as Worcester's seven-race card, transferred from Hereford due to concerns over the ground, Huntingdon also stages a seven-race jumps meeting starting at 2.20.
Two £25,000 class two handicaps (3.00 & 3.30) sparkle on Leicester's eight-race programme on the Flat, while a £11,500 5f handicap () is the feature of the evening card at Kempton.

What to back
It takes Nick Watts just ten second to reveal Tuesday's best bet at Huntingdon . . .
What to read
Confirmations for Saturday's all-star Qipco British Champions Day are in, with a plethora of the biggest Flat stars featuring among the contenders for Ascot's autumn showpiece.
It is not all about the Flat, with news that jumping heavyweights The New One and Sire De Grugy are likely to clash in Saturday's Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las.
Hurricane Ophelia left more than 360,000 homes and businesses in Ireland without power on Monday, find out how it affected trainers as they were forced to batten down the hatches in the face of storm-force winds.
What to watch
Ascot takes centre stage on Saturday and Bruce Millington is joined by Nick Watts, Tom Segal and Paddy Power to preview the big-race action and make some early selections.
The best of Racing Post Sport
Ronald Koeman remains long odds-on to be the next top flight manager to leave his post despite Everton rescuing a 1-1 draw at Brighton on Sunday with a 90th-minute penalty from Wayne Rooney. Keep up to date with all the latest Premier League news.
Final thought
The discussion on whether trainers should declare wind operations before a run was reignited at Ascot ten days ago when Just Glamorous bounced back to form with a 33-1 sprinting success.
Only afterwards did it come to light that the former Group 3 winner had undergone a pretty substantial procedure to aid his breathing and it clearly had the desired effect.
He will not be the same price today but if the same Just Glamorous turns up at Leicester (3.30), he will certainly serve it up to his rivals from the front.
