You cannot keep a good man down and ten months after a knee injury put Andrew Thornton on the sidelines, the popular rider returns to action at Worcester today.

Thornton, 44, has been off since reaching the notable landmark of 1,000 winners aboard Kentford Myth at Wincanton on Boxing Day and, fate would have it, he returns on the same horse in the 2m4f mares' handicap hurdle ().

As well as Worcester's seven-race card, transferred from Hereford due to concerns over the ground, Huntingdon also stages a seven-race jumps meeting starting at 2.20.
