John Durkan card at Punchestown gets all-clear after inspection due to dense fog
Punchestown's star-studded fixture this afternoon has been given the go-ahead following a midday inspection due to dense fog.
Officials had been monitoring conditions throughout the morning and made the decision to proceed 35 minutes before the first race, with the feature race, the John Durkan Memorial Chase, due off at 1.40. The situation will continue to be monitored and the ground is heavy.
Samcro is a significant non-runner from the John Durkan, with the field reduced to seven runners in his absence. Jack Kennedy will now ride Battleoverdoyen in place of Rachael Blackmore for trainer Gordon Elliott.
Two-time winner Min heads the market as a general 2-1 shot as he bids to give Willie Mullins a seventh victory.
Chris's Dream is next best in the market at 7-2, with Min's stablemate Allaho, third in the RSA Chase on his last start, available at 4-1 for the John Durkan, one of ten races due to be shown on ITV4 on Sunday.

Paul Townend has passed up a strong book of rides for Mullins at Punchestown to partner Chacun Pour Soi in the Grade 2 Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase (1.25) at Cork.
The leading Champion Chase contender makes his first start since winning the Dublin Chase in February in one of four races from the Mallow track shown on ITV4.
As well as four races at Punchestown, two races from Kelso will also be covered, including the Persimmon Homes Scottish Borders National (3.20).
The ground at Kelso was changed to soft (from good to soft, soft in places) on Sunday morning.
