ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the seven live races on ITV
1.45 Newmarket
Godolphin Flying Start Zetland Stakes (Group 3), 1m2f
Hafit was a hefty 2.1 million guineas purchase for Godolphin as a yearling and he seeks to get back to winning ways after finishing second in a Listed race at Haydock last time. He looks the pick of the Charlie Appleby runners but stablemate Goldspur could be his nearest rival, who was withdrawn for being unruly in the stalls at Epsom last time.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: HAFIT
Significant promise in two runs, runner-up in Listed grade latest; plenty more to offer
2.02 York
Coral Beaten-By-A-Length Free Bet Rockingham Stakes (Listed), 6f
Ever Given plundered the valuable sales race over course-and-distance at the Ebor festival and returns to the Knavesmire in search of a first Pattern win following a good second in a similar race at Doncaster. Canonized brings strong form at this level into the race, while the John and Thady Gosden-trained Alotaibi remains unexposed.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: CANONIZED
Tough filly who was beaten a short head in a Group 3 at Ayr last time; major player
2.20 Newmarket
Emirates Autumn Stakes (Group 3), 1m
Coroebus looked to have victory all but secured in the Royal Lodge Stakes but was somehow defeated in the dying stages and has a crack at redemption back over a mile at Newmarket. His nearest challenger could be Imperial Fighter, who was second in a strong running of the Acomb Stakes at York.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: COROEBUS
Collared late in the Royal Lodge two weeks ago, shaping like the best horse; top rated
2.37 York
Play Coral Racing-Super-Series For Free Handicap, 1m2½f
Bay Bridge makes his race return following an injury in May, having been touted as a potential Group performer at the start of the season after two impressive wins that included in the London Gold Cup, while the consistent Sinjaari already holds a course-and-distance win to his name.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: BAY BRIDGE
Form surged with two runaway wins in spring; commands major respect on return to action
2.55 Newmarket
Darley Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1), 7f
Native Trail is one of the stars of the juvenile season and bids to cap off a perfect campaign with victory in Europe's premier two-year-old race, having stormed to victory in the National Stakes last month. Straight Answer also brings an unbeaten record to the table following his impressive success at Fairyhouse, while Group 2 winners Bayside Boy, Berkshire Shadow and Go Bears Go all add class to an intriguing contest.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: NATIVE TRAIL
Exciting colt who was impressive in the National Stakes last month; well clear on ratings
3.15 York
Coral Sprint Trophy Handicap, 6f
Copper Knight bids to become York's winningmost horse and goes in search of a remarkable seventh win on the Knavesmire after he was beaten by only a head at Haydock in September. Gulliver landed the last two runnings of this race and is a warm order to make it three in a row for top trainer David O'Meara.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: LAUGH A MINUTE
Listed winner in April; strongly hinted he was returning to form two weeks ago; big player
3.35 Newmarket
Together For Racing International Cesarewitch Handicap, 2m2f
The ultra-competitive marathon contest has attracted a bumper field and Willie Mullins saddles six as he attempts to win the race for a remarkable fourth year in succession. M C Muldoon looks the pick of the bunch with the assistance of Ryan Moore, while last year's winner Great White Shark is back for more. Buzz, Calling The Wind and Live Your Dream also hold claims in a lottery that could throw up surprises.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: CALLING THE WIND
Improving 5yo; strong traveller who has won at 2m4f; 3lb well-in after Newbury 2nd (1m4f)
