Is it advantage Cobden at Cheltenham, or will Hughes have his way at Wetherby?

Last season's champion jockey Brian Hughes was the first to a half-century this week but he leads Harry Cobden by just three, with Harry Skelton, Paddy Brennan and Sam Twiston-Davies all snapping at their heels, and former title-holder Richard Johnson far from out of the reckoning.

Those southern-based challengers to Hughes all have important rides at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Cobden has the bit between his teeth, propelled by the rampant early-season form of his boss Paul Nicholls and the acute eye of agent Dave Roberts.
