Tara Dylan swept wide around the field on the turn for home at Galway to plunder a second win in a row and she bids for her hat-trick in today's Kingdom Gold Cup.

Tom Mullins’ game four-year-old raced under a 5lb penalty at Galway for her previous triumph at Leopardstown. She was 6lb well in based on her revised mark of 67, and the handicapper has given her another 6lb for her Ballybrit exploits.

Despite her new rating of 73, she is still a pound out of the handicap for this €50,000 affair, which is a startling illustration of the step up in class that she faces. Tara Dylan also remains 3lb below the handicapper’s initial judgement of her in the autumn, but she has gone a long way to justifying that assessment.
