Hunaina has shown her liking for the Polytrack surface and will be bidding to score at the track for the third time when she goes in search of black type in Friday night's Dundalk feature.

Trained by Michael Halford for the Aga Khan, the daughter of Tamayuz will be stepping up to a mile for the first time, having won a 6f maiden over the track last year and a 7f handicap on her most recent visit this month.

Halford said of Pat Smullen's mount: "She came out of her handicap win very well and is in great form. She'll be running over a mile for the first time but she got seven furlongs really well last time and settles well in her races, so we're hopeful she'll get the distance."

Smullen, Halford and the Aga Khan combined to win the event with Kadra a year ago.

Halford is also represented by Surrounding, who finished third in the race won by Hunaina three weeks ago.

"She'll appreciate going back up in trip and has been working well," added Halford. "We'll be delighted if she can get some black type."

British stables have won two of the last three runnings of the race and Ralph Beckett, who sent out Desert Haze to finish second a year ago, is represented by five-time winner Crowning Glory, the mount of jockeys' title leader Colin Keane.

Also over from Britain is Peak Princess, whose trainer Richard Hannon said: "She should have a chance. She likes the all-weather and ran very well at Kempton last time when just denied. I'm hoping she'll go well."

Belle Boyd, a maiden winner over the trip and runner-up to Hunaina at Dundalk three weeks ago, represents Willie McCreery.

The Jim Bolger-trained Goldrush has won both her starts and was successful at this level over a longer trip at the track two weeks ago, while Aidan O'Brien runs no fewer than four – Love Potion, Pavlenko, Pocketfullofdreams and Smoulder.
