He looked to be losing his way in Ireland but, having been switched to Andrew Balding and gelded, he's two from two this year and I was taken with how he overcame a wide draw and trip at Wolverhampton last time.

Gary Hind, former UAE champion jockey I'm going for Modern News to beat Mujtaba. The Godolphin horse ran an eyecatching comeback race out here in Dubai when third in a Listed race over seven furlongs at Meydan and shaped as if he'll get the mile. I hear the claimer they're using is very good and his draw in eight will allow him to go up the middle or stick to the far side.

Simon Mapletoft, broadcaster The last five runnings have been won by highly rated four-year-olds on the threshold of Pattern company and William Haggas' unbeaten Mujtaba fits the same bill. Impressive all-weather winner Notre Belle Bete can make his presence felt from the other side of the draw.
