Big mover: Rouge Vif now 7-2 (from 7) for clash with Champion Chase one-two
Rouge Vif has been a significant market positive for his clash with Champion Chase one-two Put The Kettle On and Nube Negra in the Shloer Chase (2.20) at Cheltenham.
Making his first start for Paul Nicholls and new jockey Bryony Frost, Rouge Vif has been backed into 7-2 third favourite (from 7).
Such is the level of support for the seven-year-old, who has had a wind op for his comeback run, his three rivals are weak in the betting, with Put The Kettle On and Nube Negra 2-1 joint-favourites and Politologue at 9-2.
Cheltenham racecard and betting
Rouge Vif was an impressive winner of a handicap over course and distance last October on his seasonal return, but struggled to make an impact in three subsequent runs at Graded level.
The Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle (2.55) is the main betting race of the day and with nothing setting the market alight, punters have latched on to a few at each-way prices.
The hat-trick seeking Camprond has been supported into 11-1 (from 16), while Glory And Fortune (12-1 from 16) and Galice Macalo (12-1 from 18) are the other positives.
At the head of the market, Jesse Evans is out to 11-2 (from 4) with bet365, who have also gone 17-2 (from 7) about No Ordinary Joe.
The ground at Cheltenham remains good, good to soft in places on the hurdle course and a dry and mild day is forecast.

It leaves the Willie Mullins-trained pair Echoes In Rain and Sharjah to face Zanahiyr.
The field for the Grade 2 Florida Pearl Novice Chase (12.30) has been reduced to four runners with Dewcup and Run Wild Fred out, while Punchestown festival winner Gauloise is an absentee in the Listed mares' hurdle (1.30).
The ground is yielding, good to yielding in places (chase), good to yielding, yielding in places (hurdle) and good to yielding (cross country).
