Graeme Rodway examines a Listed race featuring Group 1 performers

There's only one place to start in this Listed race and that's with Queen Power.

Sir Michael Stoute won the Sovereign Stakes here on Sunday with a similar type in Regal Reality, who had been competing at a much higher level. Queen Power comes here having run in a Group 1 and two Group 2s this season and this represents a massive drop in class for her.

Queen Power's last win was achieved in Listed company and the return to this grade is definitely in her favour, but the forecast rain might not be. She disappointed on her only start on soft ground at Ascot last year and connections will be hoping it doesn't get too wet.

Bharani Star also comes here having competed at a higher level, having finished sixth behind Love in the Oaks at Epsom last time, and she certainly won't have a problem with the rain.

The Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained filly has recorded two of her three highest Racing Post Ratings with soft in the going description, but also acts on quicker ground too.

This could be an interesting race tactically as Award Scheme and Chamade both front-run.

There should be a good pace on as a result and it's worth keeping an eye on the weather if you fancy either of the likely leaders.

Award Scheme is unraced on softer than good and seems at her best on quick ground, while Chamade is a soft-ground winner and will have no problem if the heavens open.

She's a talented filly who I don't think we've seen the best of in handicaps. The plan this year was always to make an attempt for some black type. We're rolling the dice and we'll see what happens. She'd obviously have to run above her best to date to get into the frame, but I think she's a filly who deserves her chance at this level. We'll know where we stack up if we were to then go for another of these, perhaps in France or Germany.

She's had three tough assignments and run well each time. She was probably last off the bridle in the Nassau and they didn't go quite fast enough for her. This is an easier target and she's already a Listed winner but we felt it was this or a Group 1. We wanted to give her a bit of a confidence boost. so hopefully all goes to plan and there aren't too many thunderstorms to confuse things. She's got some form on good to soft, but we'd rather the ground remained quick.

She's getting better. I think Michael Stoute's filly is the standout on form and it's a competitive race for a Listed, though that's what we've got used to these days. She was better last time and she's been improving. She's okay on quick ground.
