Good to firm in places at the Curragh as ground quickens
The Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes (5.25) is the highlight event on a brilliant Friday of racing with top-level scorers Wild Illusion and Iridessa taking on Oaks runner-up Pink Dogwood and numerous other classy fillies at the Curragh.
Meanwhile last season's Irish Derby hero Latrobe features in the Curragh Cup (3.45) and a field of 12 contest the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes (4.15), a race for juvenile fillies.
Newcastle has the pick of the action in Britain with the Hoppings Fillies' Stakes (7.05) taking centre stage, a Group 3 event featuring the talented Sun Maiden.
There is also Flat racing from Yarmouth, Doncaster, Newmarket and Chester with jumping action at Cartmel.
