Both Cyrname and Lostintranslation have already recorded form that would be good enough to win an average renewal of the King George.

The average Racing Post Rating of the winner this decade has been a shade below 177. That is exactly the figure Lostintranslation returned when winning the Betfair Chase at Haydock, easily his best performance.

Cyrname's peak is 181, achieved not in beating Altior – although that was worthy of 179 – but when demolishing the field in the Ascot Chase by 17 lengths in February.
