Faugheen in good shape as he tackles three miles once again
Exclusive insight on his Friday runners from Ireland's champion trainer
Leopardstown
We are looking forward to seeing Faugheen back over 3m in the Grade 1 Squared Financial Christmas Hurdle (1.50). He was very good, winning by 13 lengths, the last time he went that distance at the Punchestown festival in April and he also won over the trip as a novice.
We decided on the staying route for him after he ran second in the Morgiana Hurdle last month and he is in good shape. He likes Leopardstown and is all set.
Bapaume and Shaneshill join him in the line-up. Noel Fehily has ridden Bapaume a few times and was third on him in the same race last year. Hopefully, he will get a tune out of him and we think going up in trip should suit. Shaneshill will like the ground but might find a few too good for him.
