There could be a family theme to proceedings on day four of Royal Ascot when father-and-son jockeys John and David Egan bid to add to their royal meeting tallies.

For Egan snr, the William Haggas-trained Dancin Inthestreet could prove a plum ride off a low weight in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Handicap, 14 years on from partnering Les Arcs to Diamond Jubilee victory.

Egan said: “Dancin Inthestreet is lightly raced and there could be a lot to come from her. She has a light weight and it’s always nice to get on one of Mr Haggas’s. She’s got a good chance.
