5.15 Cork
Munster Oaks Stakes (Group 3) | 1m4f | 3yo+ | RTE2/RTV

In the black, white and red corner of Moyglare, weighing in at 10st 2lbs, make some noise for the Irish St Leger winner, Search For A Song.

In the green, white and orange, she's a globetrotting phenomenon who has adoring fans down under but has yet to get the credit she deserves in her native land, the jumper-turned-Group performer, True Self.

You can picture it now. A boxing-type promoter shouting to the rooftops about what promises to be a tasty scrap. In reality, this is a race that will take little selling.

Along with Search For A Song and True Self, Group 2 winner Princess Yaiza and Group 3 winner Hamariyna, along with a host of other unexposed sorts, make this a royal rumble for fillies and mares.

If the Mooresbridge had been a boxing match, the fight would have been stopped early as Search For A Song was punched drunk in the finish and was beaten 14 lengths.

Dermot Weld's Classic winner will need to put that form behind her while True Self, who won her Group 3 at Flemington, will also need to improve for her reappearance in the Pretty Polly.

Princess Yaiza appeared to be coming back to her old form when fourth at Leopardstown while Hamariyna has lots of potential and should stay the trip.

There are so many facets that make this as interesting a Group 3 that has been run in Ireland so far this year and it shouldn’t be missed.

What they say

Dermot Weld, trainer of Search For A Song and Maria Christina
Search For A Song is in good form and I'm very happy with her. The one thing is that she has a lot of weight to carry. I know the reasons behind the extra weight but, just for a four-year-old filly, carrying that big weight in a Group race, I think it's a little bit much. That's my biggest worry. We're fitting her with a hood just to relax her a little bit. Maria Christina will be doing her best.

Paddy Twomey, trainer of Loveisthehigherlaw
I think she will come on a good bit for Leopardstown. Most of mine improve for their first run and I don't think she'll be any different. She ran on good to firm at Leopardstown and ran well, but I think her preference would be for a slight ease and that will show her in an even better light. I'm hoping for a good run from her.

Michael Halford, trainer of Hamariyna
We were delighted with her at the Curragh. She's a good filly and will enjoy an ease in the ground. It's quite a step up in trip but she settles well and we're hopeful that she'll get the trip.

Gavin Cromwell, trainer of Princess Yaiza
We're really happy with her and the bit of an ease in the ground will suit. It's a very good race and she's a bit to find on ratings with a couple of them but I'd be expecting a good run all the same. She has come on a good bit since Leopardstown.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Snapraeceps
She is stepping up in trip but had a good first run back and hopefully we can get some more black type with her.
