Fontaine Collonges is a significant non-runner, meaning Desaray Girl may be the pace angle. She made all when landing odds of 1-8 at Sedgefield 13 months ago.

David Pipe will be hoping that a first attempt at this longer trip may unlock further improvement from Ffos Las and Chepstow scorer Sexy Lot.

She certainly hit the line hard when just failing to peg back Committee Of One by half a length last time out over 2m and enjoys testing ground.

Another highly progressive mare, Midnightreflection, found the step up to Class 2 company too hot to handle when fourth to Molly Ollys Wishes – an impressive winner of a Warwick Listed race since – at Kempton over Christmas, but is better judged on a 14-length success at Plumpton from Ding Ding over 3m1f in early December.

What they say

Ben Case, trainer of Midnightreflection
She ran well enough at Kempton over Christmas and seems in good form after a little break. She has top weight but it looks a suitable race and I think she's got a good chance. We're putting on the cheekpieces to help her travel a little bit easier over this shorter trip.

Micky Hammond, trainer of Desaray Girl
She ran well on her last hurdle start at Sandown and she should be competitively handicapped on that run. She'll like the ground and the step up in trip will suit.

Neil Mulholland, trainer Runasimi River
She's a consistent mare who has been running well. She won at Chepstow last year on heavy ground, so she should handle the softer conditions. Our other runners are going well and hopefully she can make her presence felt.

David Pipe, trainer of Sexy Lot
She's been very consistent this season and seems to take her racing well. She loves soft ground and the track will suit her. She's stepping up in trip slightly and we hope that might bring out further improvement again as she goes up in grade.
